SUPERBIKE ODYSSEY TO CELEBRATE SULTAN'S BIRTHDAY

THE month-long celebration of the Sultan of Johor's birthday in Muar and Ledang was made merrier with a motorcycle convoy journey organised by Kelab Jaguh Gambir recently.

Club chairman Muhidin Osman said 25 members joined the convoy, called the Johor Travelling Convoy (Konvoi Jelajah Johor).

The riders rode high-powered motorcycles starting from Pekan Bukit Gambir, Ledang, to Tanjung Piai in Pontian.

"Through this event, we were able to foster stronger ties between club members and improve discipline by paying heed to road safety.

"Members of the convoy also had the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery and see all the various development projects along the way," he said.

Muhidin added that those who took part in the ride also gained experience and tested their physical and mental capabilities.

The convoy, which travelled for 250km to their destination and back, departed from Jeti Parit in Jarum Laut.

They were sent off by Ledang member of Parliament Hamim Samuri.
